Tuesday was the beginning of the Cheltenham festival, and Zara Tindall’s first as course director at the ground. She chose navy, bringing together blue hues for the occasion. She attended with Princess Anne, and Peter and Autumn Phillips.
Her coat was the ‘York’ from Guinea London. The coat, which ‘takes inspiration from longer, navy wool military greatcoats’, has double breasted silver crest buttons down the front, matched by five buttons at the cuff, which hold an asymmetric closure together; there is also a wide-set collar, slit pockets at the hip and a velvet, also with button detailing on the small of the back. The coat – made of navy wool herringbone – flares gently from the waist and is currently sold out; view it here (£495).

Zara Tindall arriving on the first day of the Cheltenham Festival; she is wearing a Guinea London coat, Julietter Botterill headband and Rebecca Taylor dress

She chose a dress from Rebecca Taylor, their ‘blurry heart print dress’. Note the Illesteva sunglasses, too.
The mini dress is created from silk and features long cuffed sleeves, pintuck shoulders, and a tie-neck, with some shiring of the bodice at the waist. It costs £385 here. This isn’t a bad match at £20!

Zara chose a feathered headband from Juliette Botterill, which we saw on Princess Eugenie at Christmas. Perhaps the Princess leant it to her cousin?! Get one here, costing £470.

We saw a new bag from Aspinal, their saddle bag in navy pebble leather. This is an updated version, featuring an equestrian-feel round buckle detail instead of a lock. Get one here for £395.

Zara wore LK Bennett boots, the ‘Zira’ style over-the-knee. Costing £450, they are made of stretch suede and feature a block heel and zip to help with on/off. Get a pair here or try these or these.

We saw her Calleja ‘Coronet’ earrings return, part of Zara’s own line with the jewellery brand.

What did you think of this outfit? A nice combination – and somehow, she pulls off navy and black! Copy the look with these options:
Thanks to @polkapopp for the dress coat and boot ID
