The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her third child today, a son, at just after 11am on St George’s Day at the Lindo Wing. Kate and William emerged with the new-born Prince to take him back to Kensington Palace. Kate was dressed in a bespoke Jenny Packham shift dress.
Catherine wore a Jenny Packham bespoke red shift dress. The beautiful dress, was very well tailored and allowed ease of movement for a post-partum mum and fell loosely over Kate’s stomach. The red dress featured 3/4 length sleeves and fell to a midi length below the knee. The beautiful feminine feature of this dress was a delicate white floral lace peter-pan collar. Many on social media have commented that Kate has given a nod to Diana in what she wore when leaving the hospital with Prince Harry, but also the colour scheme as a nod to St George’s Day and the English flag.
Kate wore her Gianvito Rossi ‘Praline’ 85 Pump, retailing for £495. A pointed toe court pump with a lower heel height of 85mm in a tan suede that is described as a praline colour-way. We have seen Kate wear wedges on her last two appearances after giving birth. We are in complete awe of how she managed to walk after giving birth, and then walk with a new born baby, down stairs, with all the world’s media about to capture her every move. Amazing! We would have let her off with just wearing flats.
