Sophie met with crew and former patients of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance on Thursday. The service saved her life in 2001, and the Countess was on hand to help launch their 21st anniversary celebrations. Read more here. She chose a chic separates look, adding a feminine floral blouse and sandals to make it less ‘office-wear’.

The Countess chose a new blouse from Jigsaw. This is the ‘Shadow Ditsy Crinkle Top’, selling for £98 (although with one size left at half price! See here). Made of viscose, the blouse is sheer with modesty covered thanks to the print. It has covered buttons, pintuck detailing down the front, and ruffle details with black edging at the placket, collar and cuffs.
We love this piece, and initially thought it was Erdem thanks to its fussy floral, but were pleased to find it was high street!

She wore a twill navy blazer, with covered buttons and peaked lapels and patch pockets, and a large button at the cuff. We saw a similar version in black in 2019, when Sophie visited Harrogate.
This was paired with navy slim leg trousers, which – while nondescript – do not have belt loops, but do have slit pockets at the side and something of a stretch sateen look to them.

Her sandals were a pair from Penelope Chilvers, the ‘Agatha’. These navy leather sandals have a chunky wood effect platform and heel, with velcro straps across the toe, top of the foot and around the ankle. They are now sold out

These shoes were first seen during lockdown, on a visit to see the NSPCC and ChildLine.

The Countess carried a raffia bag, with circle handle and black leather detailing and a striped interior. This is by Sophie Habsburg, and costs €220, but is sold out in this colour. See more here (please note, the SH site now has neon colour strobing effects, if anyone is sensitive to such things). The raffia is hand crocheted.

Finally, we saw a pair of curled petal/leaf earrings on Sophie; more to come, but these and these are a nice match if the style takes your fancy. She was also unusually without her engagement ring for this event.
