Today saw the announcement of the engagement between Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Beatrice shared some photos, taken by her sister, to mark the occasion, as well as some black and white images with a professional photographer.
The Princess was wearing a green floral dress from Zimmerman. This was the ‘Allia’ midi dress, featuring blouson sleeves and a vibrant green and pink print on the linen fabric. It costs £595 here. Or try this affordable alternative.
Beatrice wore her Juste Un Clou bracelet from Cartier too.
For the photos taken in Windsor by Misan Harriman, Beatrice chose a red silk ruffled dress, also from Zimmerman. It was their ‘Espionage’ dress, with a v-neck wrap effect, self-tie belt and ruffle asymmetric hemline. The sleeves are cuffed with button detailing, too. It costs £555 here or here in a rust red.
She teamed the dress with a pair of embellished smoking slippers. They do bear some resemblance to these ‘Lark’ slippers from Carvela, but the embellishment pattern is not the same. Bea’s are more intricate, not just straight lines.
And of course, a look at the ring! It was designed by Edoardo in conjunction with Shaune Leane. It features a central brilliant diamon, with baguette diamonds flanking it on the band, tapering in to a pave band.
A statement from them said: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.”
“We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.
They were engaged on a holiday to Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place next year; that’s the fourth royal wedding in less than three years – phew! We look forward to seeing Beatrice’s wedding dress on the day, and of course, what all the royal guests will wear!
