Duchess Kate visited her patronage SportsAid today, choosing an unusual combination of navy and dark green. With a new pair of high-street culottes and trainers, combined with her favourite blazer, Catherine was more casual than we usually see! You can read about the visit here.
Catherine wore her navy Smythe ‘Duchess’ blazer, which features a notched lapel with button hole detail, a single button at the waist, three flap pockets (one with a button), buttons at the cuff and a distinct cut out vent at the rear. It costs £570 here or over £900 here.
You’ll remember the Duchess owns the piece in khaki too.
We saw new culottes from Zara. Sitting high on the waist, these cropped wide trousers fasten with a zip at the side and feature a wide waistband, with a soft pleat to the front and back. They originally sold for £29.99, but were reduced to £5.99 and sold out! They are still available in black, pink and white, however. Get a pair here. Or Zara Australia is still stocking them here. Try these for an affordable match.
We are still looking for the ribbed green top, which features 3/4 sleeves, and a scoop neckline.
This piece is from Mango, the ‘ribbed sweater’ but is sold out on the UK store. It originally cost £19.99 and is crafted from a viscose blend – view it here. The same shade and ribbed fabric is available in a roll neck however – get one here.
She wore new trainers, from Marks & Spencer, their ‘Ribbon Detail Lace Up Trainers’, costing just £29.50. Made from vegan friendly materials, these trainers feature stripe detailing on the outer foot in shades of green, cream and silver. The heel cap is also green and the pull tab. Unsurprisingly, they have almost all sold out already! View them here, or they are available in a navy colourway at the same link.
The Duchess kept with the green tones, and chose her Monica Vinader ‘Siren’ earrings in green onyx. They are made of sterling silver plated with 18ct gold, with an ‘organic, irregular shaped’ stone of green onyx. Costing £115, they are still available here, as well as in other stone colours and metals.
Kate chose her Daniella Draper engraved initial pendant again, which is becoming a firm favourite! The original, which differs to the Duchess’, comes without the star embellishment and has the option of a diamond being embedded. Get one here.
Quite amusingly, it seems that Prince William was also wearing a similar outfit to his wife today! A green jumper and navy blazer for his own engagements.

We weren’t too convinced by the green and navy combination today, but we always like to see The Duchess of Cambridge bring more high street items into her wardrobe, and combine them with high end pieces! What did you think?

Thanks to @katsclosetau for the trouser ID and @emmagcollins for the trainers. @MiddletonMaven found the jumper
