The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Badshahi Mosque and meet with sick children at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital – more on the event here. Catherine choose yet another piece by Maheen Khan in teal and gold for the engagement.
The Duchess chose a teal shalwar kameez by local designer Maheen Khan. The beautiful piece is crafted from French chiffon and features silver thread embroidered around the v-neckline and an intricate patterned print over the front in gold silk, hand-embroidered by the tribespeople of Swarth in Pakistan. Long sleeves ending in gold embroidered cord. The piece is off the rack and purchased from O’nitaa, a boutique in Chelsea.
Kate also wore a pair of matching straight leg teal trousers under the Salwar Kameez.
As part of the ensemble the Duchess, respectively wore a head scarf or dupatta whilst inside the mosque as is custom for women to wear. The lightweight teal silk scarf is delicately edged in gold and was custom made to match the piece by the designer.
Kate wore a pair of J Crew ‘Lucie Suede Pump’, retailing for £170. The d’orsay style pumps in tan suede are a significantly lower heel height (at only 65mm), than we have previously seen the Duchess wear. Kate removed her shoes and walked barefoot whilst attending the mosque. The style was available in a range of colours and prints from J Crew, including red and black. You can purchase these pumps here and here.
The Duchess accessorised with her Catherine Zoraida gold fern hoop earrings, retailing for £150. The 18ct gold plated silver hook earrings feature a fern leaf wrapped around a hoop drop. The earrings are also available in silver. You can purchase the hoops here.
