For a visit to thank workers on the 111 call line, who are dealing with coronavirus calls, The Duchess of Cambridge chose a new dusky pink suit; this is a look we aren’t all that used to on her! More about the visit with Prince William here.
Kate chose a new suit jacket and trousers from Marks and Spencer. This was the Autograph range’s ‘Wool Blend Double Breasted Blazer’ in dark rose, and the matching ‘Wool Blend Slim Leg Cropped Trousers’. These cost £99 and £59 respectively.
The double-breasted jacket features contrast buttons, peaked lapels and topstitch seams under the bust. It is created in a stretch wool-blend fabric, with the cut giving a tailored fit. There are welt pockets at the hip. This isn’t a bad match for the piece, which is still largely available.
The trousers, meanwhile, are pleated down the front and back, but with a seam to the front, and come in a cropped length, sitting above the ankle. There are welt pockets on the rear, with seams running between them and the waistband, mimicking those on the jacket. The trousers have double belt loops around, and a hook and eye closure.
It looks like we saw the return of an unidentified white top that Kate wore for her visit to Cyprus in 2018. It is a thick fabric, with stretch to it, and has a round neckline. Updates if we find anything.
The Duchess brought back her Hugo Boss ‘Staple P90-L’ heels, last seen at the Natural History Museum in 2016, which come in a grey scale effect leather. With a pointed toe, these court shoes are a more wearable height of 85mm and feature a straight heel, and Hugo Boss metal plaque – that resembles a staple – on the rear of the foot. This is the ‘anthracite’ colour. Try these to match the look.
Catherine was wearing new(?) hoop earrings, a sort of soft hexagonal shape on the outside. They look like they could be the ‘Gold Small molten hoops from Missoma. They cost £65 here and are made of 18ct gold vermeil, measuring 2cm in height. They are inspired by molten lava, hence the thicker and thinner sections. These earrings are also available in silver here.
UPDATE: It has been suggested Kate chose her Daniella Draper shamrock hoops, without the charm. This would certainly explain the shape.
