Countess Sophie combines navy and white for Commonwealth Day service

The Countess of Wessex was amongst attendees at the Commonwealth Day service yesterday, and brought back a dress I had been *dying* to see fully, using the same accessories, bar the hat.

The Countess chose a dress from Suzannah, the ‘Evangeline’ which we have seen previously at Ascot, but not in all its glory! With a high neck, and flared midi skirt, a pop of colour is added via the navy panel in the skirt, which also reaches around the back of the waist via the left hip. The dress is made from Italian crepe. It costs £1850 here.

The Countess chose a hat from Jane Taylor. The pillbox piece is made of wool felt and has netting dotted with miniature pompoms across it. It bears resemblance to this pillbox shape, but no others in the JT store have this netting, so we suspect it was a custom commission.

She paired it with navy heels from Prada, which we also saw the last time she wore the dress. They cost £555 here.

Sophie carried her Beauchamps ‘Hutchinson’ clutch.

The Countess brought back her Heavenly Necklaces pearl drop earrings and her rose brooch, which we know very little about.
