To mark International Nurses Day, The Duchess of Cambridge and Countess of Wessex spent time calling healthcare workers across the globe. They thanked them for their work and asked about the impact of coronavirus. Kate and Sophie were not the only Royals doings so: you can find out more, and see the full video featuring other members of the Royal Family, here.

The Duchess wore a repeat dress by Altazurra, this is the ‘Aimee’ dress. It features half shoulders with gather detail at the hem and pintucks at the shoulder, a v-neck moving into the placket of buttons, and a deep curved yoke to the front, giving a bib-like effect, with a straight one across the back of the shoulders. The hem falls to the knee, and there is no waistline, but the bodice hugs, while the skirt flares just a little, thanks to various extra panels added in at the rear. A slit in the left-hand side of the skirt enables movement. The polka dots, we are told, were created from a 1930s and 1960s dot pattern overlapped, which definitely gives a more retro feel, and this is printed onto a stretch crepe fabric. The piece is long sold out.

You’ll remember the dress from a 2016 visit, complete with nude accessories.
I wasn’t a fan of this dress when it first debuted, but it has grown on me.

You can see that the Duchess chose her new Partrick Mavros ‘milkyt quartz urchin’ earrings.

Sophie meanwhile, wore an unidentified shirt, we suspect. It could always be a dress though! The dark green collarless piece features a press stud at the neck and dropped seams at the shoulder. The fabric looks viscose-weight but we are yet to find the exact piece.

The Countess wore her shell earrings and necklace from Martina Hamilton; these are the croi design.
